A MESSAGE FROM OUR SECRETARY WOR. RICHARD A. WEISER, P.M.
When you knelt at the Alter and took your obligations as a Mason, it should have hopefully meant more to you than just words.
Masonry is much more that a social club. It teaches us a way of living our lives and becoming better men. Part of that includes supporting one another and those who have chosen to follow our tenants.
We are in Lodge almost every Wednesday of the year. Your officers have committed not only to attending Lodge but to giving of their time to make each degree meaningful for our candidates and the Brethren that attend these degree nights.
One night a week. One night to show that Masonry is not just something you joined because your friend was a member, but that you wanted to improve yourself in the Craft. The attendance at our degree nights is to say the least disappointing. I know that we all have many activities in our lives that take up our time, but attending Lodge should be on that list as well.
If you have been a top line signer for a candidate you owe it to them to be a mentor to them as well. Call them, bring them to Lodge. If they are an Entered Apprentice or Fellowcraft have them attend a degree and be sure that they are getting the proper help in their advancement through the degrees. You brought them in…be a brother to them.
We will be dark most of August for officer practices but will have a 3rd degree for Aaron Hanson on the 23rd.
Don’t just be a Mason who wears a pin and ring. Make it part of your life and support your Lodge.
Wor. Richard Weiser, PM
Secretary, Home Lodge No.721
