A MESSAGE FROM OUR JUNIOR WARDEN-ELECT PETER VOGELSANG
A new year has come, and I hope everyone in the lodge happiness throughout 2019. 2018 was a year of great accomplishment for the lodge and many brothers. Because I haven’t done so yet, I must congratulate Senior Warden-elect Andre Aladadyan for passing the California bar exam this past November.
The new year will bring many new degrees, new men joining Masonry, and new chances for fellowship.
I have only been a Mason since 2016, yet it has become a huge part of my life. Home Lodge has become a place of refuge for me, an escape from the outside world. Wednesday night is a night I look forward to, and the closing of the doors at 7 o’clock is one of my favorite sights. Now that I have reached the southern chair, I am more involved than ever, and it is welcome. I am thankful to many brothers for helping me reach this station. Steve Eberhardt is the person who brought me into the lodge for the first time. Artin Aladadyan met with me weekly to help me learn my work. Wor. Leland Celestre met with me regularly to assist me with learning. And now, serving the lodge and guiding new brothers is how I can begin to repay that help.
This year will bring many events, including the Annual Public Schools Night in April, which I am looking forward to running. The Annual Installation of Officers is approaching soon on January 13th, and our Grand Master will be the installing officer. This won’t be an event to miss.
